Bill Gye
Bill Gye (OAM), B.A. (Hons. Psych); M.Cog.Sci. (Cognitive Science – UNSW). Bill has worked in the community sector for many years from front line worker to manager to CEO. From 1989 to 2003 he was the CEO of Options Community Enterprises.
In 2004 began working at the Schizophrenia Fellowship of NSW (now OneDoor Mental Health) and in 2006 became the General Manager of their Recovery Services Division till 2016. In 2016 become CEO of Ostara Australia Ltd and in 2019 became the CEO of CMHA.
Bill has a long history of local community involvement and leadership for which he received an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in 2013. He has been a co-author on three peer reviewed published papers on mental health, his research thesis was on The Effects of Meditation, and he has been a trainer in Creative and Lateral Thinking.
